In 2025, Chandra Asri Group and Glencore officially acquired the Shell Energy and Chemicals Park (SECP) in Singapore. This acquisition was carried out through CAPGC Pte. Ltd., a joint venture predominantly owned and operated by Chandra Asri Group, with Glencore holding a minority stake. This agreement was finalized with the purchase of shares of Shell Singapore Pte. Ltd.’s subsidiary, Aster Chemicals and Energy Pte. Ltd. (Aster)

 

The Energy and Chemicals Park comprises a refinery with a processing capacity of 237,000 barrels per day of crude oil, a substantial 1.1 million metric ton per annum ethylene cracker and other important downstream chemical assets.
