In 2025, Chandra Asri Group and Glencore officially acquired the Shell Energy and Chemicals Park (SECP) in Singapore. This acquisition was carried out through CAPGC Pte. Ltd., a joint venture predominantly owned and operated by Chandra Asri Group, with Glencore holding a minority stake. This agreement was finalized with the purchase of shares of Shell Singapore Pte. Ltd.’s subsidiary, Aster Chemicals and Energy Pte. Ltd. (Aster)
The Energy and Chemicals Park spans over 60 hectares and comprises a refinery with a processing capacity of 237,000 barrels per day of crude oil, a 1.1 million metric ton per annum ethylene cracker, and other key downstream chemical assets.
