President Jokowi Inaugurates The New Polyethylene Plant

In its commitment to continue to be a growth partner for Indonesia, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk together with the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated the new polyethylene (PE) plant on Friday, 6 December 2019. Located at the new PE plant location, Cilegon, the inauguration was also witnessed by the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita; the Minister of BUMN, Erick Thohir; and the Governor of Banten, Wahidin Halim. This new PE plant provides an additional capacity of 400 thousand tons per year, bringing the total capacity to 736 thousand tons per year. Chandra Asri’s effort in capacity building is intended to take part in suppressing the import of petrochemical materials and support the national economy.
