PT Krakatau Chandra Energi (KCE) has taken a strategic step by collaborating with Air Liquide Indonesia and HDF Energy to assess the feasibility of using hydrogen as an energy source through fuel cell technology. The signing of this memorandum of understanding marks a cross-sector synergy—combining KCE’s expertise in power generation, Air Liquide’s industrial gas technology, and HDF Energy’s experience in developing hydrogen-based fuel cell systems. The study will examine technical, economic, and environmental aspects while supporting national decarbonization efforts in the industrial sector.
Through the “Hydrogen to Power” initiative, KCE aims to position itself as a pioneer in delivering clean energy within industrial zones. The technology promises operations with net-zero emissions. The study’s findings will serve as a key reference for future investment decisions and help strengthen Indonesia’s energy transition roadmap toward a low-carbon future.
