Indonesia Asri Promotes Responsible Plastic Use and Management Among the Younger Generation

The Indonesia Asri campaign, initiated by the Chandra Asri Group, held an educational activity focused on the wise and responsible use of plastic food containers for the younger generation. Delivered through a cupcake decoration workshop as an interactive and creative learning activity, participants were introduced to the characteristics of commonly used plastics such as polypropylene (PP), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), and linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE). Through this activity, participants learned about the specific functions of each type of plastic, the importance of recognizing food-grade labels, and the principles of proper reuse to support a more sustainable lifestyle.

Head of Corporate Communications at Chandra Asri Group, Chrysanthi Tarigan, emphasized that improving literacy and encouraging behavior change through solution-based education are key to addressing plastic waste challenges. Through Indonesia Asri and its newest program, Jejak Asri, the initiative provides an inclusive and participatory space that encourages environmentally responsible lifestyles through a better understanding of plastic functions and proper waste management. This initiative reflects Chandra Asri Group’s commitment to providing practical environmental education for the younger generation and supporting the creation of a greener future.
