Energy Efficiency Innovations Lead Chandra Asri Group to Win the 2025 National Energy Efficiency Award

As a result of implementing energy efficiency initiatives across its operational facilities, Chandra Asri Group received the 2025 National Energy Efficiency Award (PEEN) in the Sub-Category of Special Innovation in Energy Management in Industry. The award, presented by the Directorate General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), recognizes the Company’s application of technologies that have delivered measurable energy savings, reduced emissions, and improved plant reliability.

Several key initiatives highlighted in this achievement include:

• Reduction of Energy Intensity in the Polyethylene Plant, through system improvements and reduced contaminants to achieve more efficient and stable processes.
• Energy Efficiency & Emission Reduction in the Polyethylene SDK Plant, through the application of technologies that lower energy consumption while reducing emissions.
• Optimization of Propylene Partial Pressure with APC in Polypropylene Train 2, which enhances reactor stability and reduces the Energy Index.
• Reduction of Polymer Fouling in the EB/SM Splitter at the Styrene Monomer Plant, through the use of a new chemical formulation and a dual injection system that optimizes energy use.

These four innovations reflect Chandra Asri Group’s continued efforts to integrate energy efficiency into its daily operations. Beyond technical improvements, these initiatives also demonstrate the Company’s commitment to adopting technologies that are both effective and more environmentally responsible.
