Development of Mangrove Edu-Ecotourism Area at Patikang

Continuing its commitment in social-environment and community economic development, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk began the initiation phase of mangrove edu-ecotourism area development in The Lembur Mangrove area of Kampung Patikang, Citeureup Village, Panimbang District, Pandeglang Regency. The program, which is located in an area of 9,500 m2, is a buffer area of Tanjung Lesung Special Economic Zone. In its implementation, this program is also supported by POKDARWIS (Tourism Conscious Group) Putri Gundul Kampung Patikang, BUMDES (Village Owned Enterprises) Citeureup Village, and Banten Provincial Tourism Office. The ceremonial kick-off program was held on 2 December 2021, along with the granting of tourist canoe which is the result of cooperation with the Company's costumers and made from Chandra Asri's product, Polyethylene. The Company also optimizes waste management efforts by utilizing the Company's non-B3 waste, namely wooden pallets and inneroll as raw materials. Furthermore, the development of edu-ecotourism areas will be carried out gradually and is expected to be the Company's contribution in the preservation of coastal areas as well as the economic development of the community.
