Chandra Asri Distributes Food Packages for Scavengers in The Greater Jakarta Area

As a growth partner, PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk continues its commitment to supporting the communities during the COVID-19 pandemic. On 11 May 2020, Chandra Asri together with Ikatan Pemulung Indonesia (IPI) donated thousands of food packages to the scavengers in the Jakarta metropolitan area. The donations were distributed to scavengers in the Rawasari area of Central Jakarta, Rawamangun area of East Jakarta, Pinang Ranti, and Rawa Badung Cakung. This support was given to help scavengers directly affected income reduction during the pandemic. Scavengers are an informal sector that is important in the plastics recycling chain. Therefore, Chandra Asri always supports IPI to continuously increase the level of plastic recycling and reduce unmanaged plastic waste.
