Chandra Asri Group Wins Deal of the Year at the 2026 Energy Council Awards

PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (Chandra Asri Group) has been awarded Deal of the Year – Transaction Over USD 100 Million at the Energy Council Singapore Awards of Excellence 2026 for its acquisition of Shell Energy and Chemicals Park Singapore (SECP), which now operates as Aster Chemicals and Energy Pte. Ltd. (Aster). The award recognizes the strategic significance of the transaction, which expands Chandra Asri Group’s operational footprint in Singapore while strengthening its position as a regional platform in the energy, chemicals, and infrastructure sectors.

Andre Khor, Group Chief Financial Officer of Chandra Asri Group and Deputy CEO of Aster, stated that the award reflects the important role of the Aster acquisition in accelerating the Company’s transformation into a leading regional player. The acquisition, completed through CAPGC Pte. Ltd., a joint venture between Chandra Asri Group and Glencore, is viewed as enhancing the Group’s capabilities and competitiveness amid growing industrial and energy demand across the Asia-Pacific region.
