Chandra Asri Group Successfully Organizes CALIBER 2024

PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (Chandra Asri Group) successfully organized the Chandra Asri Limitless Innovation and Business Strategy (CALIBER) Challenge 2024. This inter-student competition carries the theme “Turning Trash into Treasure: Sustainable Solutions for Plastic Waste” which aims to encourage the development of sustainable solutions for plastic waste management based on a circular economy.

The three-month competition attracted 49 teams from various universities in Indonesia. Using the case study of the development and commercialization of CIRCLO®, a shredded plastic bag for asphalt mix, the program gave students the opportunity to design sustainable solutions that can be implemented in the workplace.

Team Smansasiers from the University of Indonesia won first place thanks to the ACE Strategy concept that optimizes the HDPE plastic supply chain. Second place went to Team Glance from the University of Indonesia with their innovation Hydropave, a paving made from 10% CIRCLO®. Third place went to Team UHMWPE from ITB that utilized partnerships and product certification to expand the adoption of CIRCLO®.

Through CALIBER 2024, Chandra Asri Group affirms its commitment in supporting young generation innovation. This solution is expected to not only address plastic waste, but also encourage the development of sustainable green infrastructure.
