Entering the post-disaster recovery phase in several regions of Sumatra, the need for basic services and social infrastructure has become essential to support the continuity of affected communities’ activities. In response, PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (Chandra Asri Group) reaffirmed its commitment to actively support the recovery process, continuing its contributions from the emergency response phase in December 2025 into the recovery stage in early 2026.
Aid has been distributed in stages to North Sumatra, West Sumatra, and Aceh Tamiang Regency, with a focus on providing relevant basic infrastructure. The support includes ready-to-drink water filtration facilities, water storage tanks, hygiene kits, and 50 multipurpose tents to facilitate social and community activities in the affected areas.
Wawan Mulyana, Corporate Shared Value Department Manager of Chandra Asri Group, stated that this initiative reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to assisting communities from the emergency phase through recovery. “This series of assistance reflects our sustained commitment to accelerating the recovery of affected communities. Through collaboration with strategic partners and active employee participation, we hope communities can soon regain their independence and productivity,” he said.
The program also involved internal participation through the Year-End Giving 2025 initiative, with total donations amounting to IDR 70.95 million, which were converted into aid for five villages in Aceh Tamiang. In addition, the company collaborated with partners such as LANAL Banten, PMI Banten Province, and Yayasan Sekolah Relawan to ensure the effectiveness and accuracy of the assistance, while strengthening community resilience against future disaster risks
