Chandra Asri Group has distributed emergency assistance to communities affected by flooding in Cilegon City in the form of hygiene kits and basic necessities. The aid is intended to meet urgent needs while supporting early post-disaster recovery, particularly in maintaining public health and environmental cleanliness.
The assistance was provided as a rapid response to the flood’s impact on environmental conditions and the availability of essential goods. In its implementation, Chandra Asri Group collaborated with various stakeholders, including the Gunung Sugih and Kedaleman Village Governments, the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of Cilegon City, and local communities. The aid was distributed in stages throughout January 2026 at several locations, namely Kepuh and Gunung Sugih Villages (January 3), Gunung Sugih (January 6), as well as Kedaleman Village and PMI Cilegon City (January 13), through direct coordination with local authorities and PMI to ensure accurate distribution.
The assistance provided included 340 food packages, 121 hygiene kits, as well as various basic necessities such as eggs, rice, instant noodles, and instant baby porridge. All aid was distributed to affected communities through local village administrations and PMI Cilegon City as part of the company’s emergency response mechanism in addressing disasters.
