Chandra Asri Group Inaugurates PAUD Dakar in Cilegon, Strengthening Access to Early Childhood Education

PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (Chandra Asri Group) inaugurated PAUD Dakar, located in Warnasari, Citangkil District, Cilegon City, on Wednesday (April 29). This facility is the eighth PAUD built since 2017 through a collaboration with Yayasan Happy Hearts Indonesia and China Chengda Engineering Co., Ltd., with the aim of providing a safe learning environment that supports children’s growth and development.

The inauguration was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Cilegon, Fajar Hadi Prabowo; the Head of the Cilegon City Education and Culture Office, Heni Anita Susila; the board of directors of Chandra Asri Group; as well as representatives from China Chengda. The event was also enlivened by a mural painting activity involving employees, members of Karang Taruna, and scholarship students, to create a more educational and enjoyable learning atmosphere.

In his remarks, Fajar Hadi Prabowo expressed appreciation for the contributions of Chandra Asri Group and its partners, describing PAUD Dakar as the “best gift” for Cilegon City on the occasion of its 27th anniversary. He expressed hope that this initiative will continue in supporting education and nurturing outstanding future generations.

PAUD Dakar is part of the company’s sustainability commitment to expanding access to early childhood education, particularly in areas surrounding its operations. In addition to building the facility, the company also provided books and bookshelves, and implemented paving blocks made from recycled plastic, as part of its efforts to support education and environmental sustainability.
