World Cleanup Day 2026 Promotes Waste Sorting at Home Through Community Action

By Chandra Asri Group Editorial Team

PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (Chandra Asri Group) collaborated with the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta through the Environmental Agency (DLH) and Lions Club as part of the World Cleanup Day (WCD) 2026 series to raise public awareness and participation in waste management. Held at Taman Ayodya, South Jakarta, the activity brought together 500 volunteers and community members, highlighting the importance of sorting waste at the source, starting from home.

WCD 2026 serves as an opportunity to introduce waste management and circular economy practices that can be applied in everyday life. This year, the initiative also engaged communities and neighborhood units (RW) by strengthening waste management practices at the source, from sorting waste based on its type and potential to encouraging residents to sustain these practices within their communities.

For Chandra Asri Group, participation in WCD 2026 is part of the Company’s efforts to advance the circular economy through collaboration. By involving various stakeholders, knowledge and experience in waste management can continue to be shared and developed at the community level, contributing to collective efforts toward a cleaner and more sustainable environment.
