Jakarta, August 28, 2026 – PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (Chandra Asri Group), through its Indonesia Asri Campaign, continues to provide a space for the Indonesia Asri community, “Sobat Asri,” to learn, share, and collaborate through everyday activities. Through Jejak Asri Hobbies, Sobat Asri can pursue their hobbies while exploring sustainable lifestyle practices that can be easily applied in daily life.
Entering its second volume, Jejak Asri Hobbies carries the theme “Brew Wisely, Make an Impact through Circularity” through a Manual Brew Coffee Workshop in collaboration with Kopi Nako. The activity invited Sobat Asri to gain a holistic understanding of a cup of coffee, from the materials used to how they can be responsibly managed after use, such as turning coffee grounds into compost. Sobat Asri also received education on the functions and characteristics of beverage packaging materials, including Polypropylene (PP) and High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), encouraging more responsible plastic use.
The educational session continued with an introduction to circular economy practices, including how post-consumer materials that retain value can be collected, sorted, and managed for reuse as raw materials. Participants were also introduced to the potential of turning coffee grounds into compost, demonstrating how materials once considered waste can gain new value and purpose.
By connecting hobbies, education, and action, Sobat Asri are encouraged to play an active role in supporting a circular economy that creates a positive environmental impact—starting with the things they enjoy and incorporating them into their everyday lives.
