Olefins

All Olefins products (Ethylene, Propylene) and its by-products (Py-Gas, Mixed C4, and PFO) are produced from Naphtha Cracker plant. CAP mainly distributes Ethylene, Propylene by pipeline to its key customers and ships Py-Gas and PFO to its customers. While for the Mixed C4 is fully utilized for its Butadiene plant as raw materials.

 

Ethylene

Ethylene is the simplest form of Olefins that contains a carbon-carbon double bond. The chemical formula for Ethylene is C2H4. Ethylene is the most widely used organic chemical in the world.

Propylene

Propylene is the second simplest form of Olefins with the chemical formula C3H6. It is mostly used to produce Polypropylene, a versatile polymer used in packaging applications.

Pyrolysis Gasoline (Py-Gas)

Py-Gas is the by-product of Naphtha steam cracking. It is rich in aromatic hydrocarbon, namely the heavier C6-C8 organic compounds. Py-Gas can be further processed to produce high-valued components such as Benzene, Toluene and Xylene. Moreover, Py-Gas is also used for gasoline blending to increase octane number

Mixed C4

Mixed C4 is one of product from the steam cracking process. Mixed C4 is feedstock for Butadiene plant which is a key component in the manufacture of synthetic rubber.

Pyrolysis Fuel Oil (PFO)

PFO is the bottom product of Naphtha steam cracking. It is a viscous liquid that contains a mixture of heavier aromatic hydrocarbons (C10 & above). PFO can be utilized as a source of fuel or as a raw material for the production of Carbon Black.
